This afternoon, our Take 5 ambassadors visited Hope Magherafelt. Hope is a local charity that oversees the Magherafelt Foodbank project. We learnt so much from Rachel, who took us on a tour of Hope and explained how they provide food through this project. We got to see the food warehouse and learnt how the food is organised, dated and weighed. We were shown four different 'food packing lists' and were given the opportunity to make up an example food pack in teams. We have learnt so much about how we can 'Connect' to our local community by 'Giving' to people in need. These are two of our key areas under 'Take 5'. Rachel also treated us to juice and snacks in their café which we thoroughly enjoyed!
