This week in school, Mr Somerville was able to announce the school councillors for this year. The pupils chosen will represent their classes on the School Council and on our Eco council for 2021/22.
To be chosen as a class councillor, the children have to be nominated by another pupil from their class to stand for election, then they write and deliver their manifesto. Once the class has heard all the manifestos of their candidates, children from their class then cast votes on ballot day. These votes are counted and then the winners of each class ballot get to represent their class.
Each class from P4-P7 will have 2 class councillors per class.
Congratulations to all our elected school councillors, this is a really important role in the life of our school and we are really looking forward to having your input.
