During the Safari Challenge pupils in P3 were asked to work together in small groups to help the Safari Vet. The vet had discovered that one of the rhino's had an injured leg sot he needed to capture it and treat the wound. Pupils were asked to design a trap that would capture the rhino without hurting it. Once treated the trap would be opened and the rhino safely released back into the wild. Each group of pupils huddled together to share their ideas and decide on the best plan for their task. Pupils then got creative and designed their trap from the variety of building materials on offer. Groups then presented their designs, plans and finally their finished traps. Each group then tested their trap and the class voted on the their favourite.
