This term our theme has been The Tourist Board and we started with Tourism in Northern Ireland. We then began to look at Famous People from Northern Ireland and find out what they were famous for. Harry Ferguson was an Irish born British engineer and inventor who was the first person in Britain and Ireland to build and fly his own aeroplane. To finish off our study of Northern Ireland, we invited Mr Buckley to our classroom to help us build our own model aeroplanes. When we had finished, we took them outside for a 'Fly about'. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning.
