P5 Assembly on the Daily Mile
Today in Assembly our P5 children gave an excellent presentation to mark the 10 year anniversary of the Daily Mile. This was the first time we have been able to have a class take an in person assembly this year as we were having virtual assemblies until the Easter holidays.
The Daily mile is an initiative that all our classes take part in, where the children go outside each day with their teachers to walk/run for 15 minutes. The goal is to work up to completing a mile within that 15 minute period. This is an initiative which has been running for 10 years in schools all across the UK.
The P5s also talked about fitness and the need to build good habits with daily exercise and healthy eating.
An excellent assembly well done P5 RMcA!
