Today, Tuesday 6 February, is Safer Internet Day. The children in each class will be taking part in lots of exciting and engaging lessons designed to teach them how to keep safe in the online world.
As part of the safer internet day celebrations, Childnet (a UK-based charity who empower children, young people, and those who support them in their online lives) have produced a video where the children from lots of schools across NI share their ideas of how to stay safe online. This is a video that all schools across the UK will have access to today and it is really helpful. I am delighted, and more than a little bit proud, to say that we have 8 children from Magherafelt PS who feature heavily in the video. Everyone speaks so well and we are very proud to see our school represented at this national level.
