This term P2 have been learning about Magherafelt.
The topic began by talking about Magherafelt Primary School. Some of our children's parents were past pupils and we enjoyed looking at photographs of the old school building. Gillian our school secretary came into our classroom to tell us about her very important role in our school.
We then learnt about some shops and businesses that are in our town. This was a perfect opportunity to invite Cliona's mummy into our classroom, she is a hairdresser. The boys and girls had a lovely makeover.
We then went for a walk into Magherafelt town, the weather was beautiful and we had a good look around at all the shops Magherafelt has to offer. We popped into McConnells shoe shop, Michelle and Zoe measured our feet and let some of the children try on shoes.
We have enjoyed learning about this topic, our Play Based Learning was very exciting this term.
