Members of our school football team eagerly participated in the annual Woods Tournament at Meadowbank today (18th May). Footballers from P5 – P7 performed superbly, winning all their group games and the semi-final. Our team was pitched against Derrychrin Primary School in the finals and they battled valiantly taking every opportunity to tackle, shoot and score, but they were narrowly defeated by Derrychrin with a final score of 2:1.
Our boys team were awarded the runners up medals and a delighted Mr Buckley proudly congratulated his team on their skillful playing and their sportsmanship during the tournament.
