During play in the water tray recently we had been testing the buoyancy of different types of boats. We were placing various weights (marbles) in the boats to see which sank with the pressure and which withheld the pressure and continued to float. We continued the learning about floating and sinking in the paddling pool on Friday. Firstly, the P1 boys and girls had to predict what they thought might happen to the objects when placed in water. So much serious discussion that Michelle and Miss McGuckin felt that they were in a Science lab...!!
